Birdie Bay Indoor Golf is the continual evolution of what started as The Golf Locker and  grew into 18 Shots Golf. Owned and operated by Sean Lanyi it was built on passion, friendships, competition, coaching, and unforgettable memories. Now a new chapter begins as the business becomes Birdie Bay Indoor Golf under new owner Bill Burbank. The Burbank’s roots in Felida go back to 1998, when Erickson Farms was still a working farm and a local favorite for fresh produce. As the area changed and Erickson Farms Properties were developed, so did the vision for what this community could become. Three years ago, Bill joined 18 Shots as a member and met Sean. Soon Bill and his son Billy became regulars in leagues, events, and part of the 18 Shots family. When the chance came to keep this special place alive, they stepped in.

With new leadership comes fresh energy, new ideas, and exciting things ahead.  While ownership is changing, Sean will remain involved as a PGA Teaching Professional, available for private coaching sessions and custom club fittings by appointment only.  Much of the staff remains the same, and are integral in creating the fun social place we envision.

Bill Burbank- Owner
After 30 years in the logistics and distribution industry, serving in numerous executive leadership positions, Bill retired. For for two years!  He was brought to Vancouver with his job at Eggherad.com, and never left. He then worked for two 3PL’s over the next 20 years, much of the time having to be on the road. His family remains here and close by, Debbie his spouse of over 40 years, daughter Shanna, and son Billy. They provided us with 5 gkids, so we are blessed.
Billy Burbank- GM
Billy has operated his own GC for almost 20 years. He is well known in the Felida parts as Owner of Transform Remodeling and Painting. And for long baseball career, playing at Skyview High, Mt Hood CC, and Concordia University. Billy has been his Dad’s “golf buddy” since giving up baseball. He was def influence in Dad’s decision to open Birdie Bay.
The Crew- Jose, TJ and Brad
Or the three amigo’s or the three…anyway, they were with 18 Shots for last couple years, and decided to stay on with Birdie Bay. They all have regular day jobs, but we are happy they decided to stay on with us, as clients love em, and friendships have developed.

The Yoots- Jack and Landon
These two young men are contributing while home from college during summer break. Word to the wise, you probably do not want to challenge Jack in a round of golf, as they say, he has got game. We lucky to have them on the team.

Sean Lanyi
Sean is a Class “A” PGA Golf Professional, Level III SAM Puttlab, Level III AimPoint Express and Putt Doctor Certified Instructor. Lanyi was recognized as a Golf Digest Best Young Teachers in America, GRAA Top 100 Teaching Professional in America and U.S. Kids Golf Master Kids Teacher. Lanyi takes into consideration the player’s unique goals, what they are capable of physically achieving by extensive training and understanding of how their body works. By having a glass half full perspective and zest for life as a coach, Lanyi builds friendships along your journey towards playing better golf. Keep this in mind, if a golfer can understand ones tendencies, they’ll learn how to manage their game better under pressure! I look forward to being your coach and seeing you become a better golfer.
